Draft: being reviewed by our lawyer
VeriNest Terms
Last updated: 20 October 2026.
VeriNest is a product of Belac Multiconcept Ltd ("we", "us"). These terms apply to everyone who uses VeriNest: people looking for a home, agents, landlords and visitors.
What VeriNest does
- We list homes in Calabar that our team has checked: the agent's or landlord's ID, a call to the landlord (for homes listed by agents) or the ownership papers (for homes listed by landlords), and a visit to the house.
- Tenants can request free viewings and pay rent through the app.
- We hold the tenant's money until the tenant confirms they have moved in, then pay the landlord and, on agent listings, the agent.
What "Verified" means, and what it does not
- "Verified" means we checked the items shown on the listing, on the dates shown.
- It does not promise that nothing will ever go wrong with a home. If something is wrong when you move in, report a problem in the app before the money is released and we will look into it.
Fees
- Tenants pay the rent, any caution deposit or service charge the listing shows, and a 5% VeriNest fee on the rent. Every amount is shown before you pay.
- There is no inspection fee, no viewing fee and no other fee. Nobody from VeriNest will ask you to pay outside the app. If anyone does, report it.
- Landlords list free. Agents list free during our launch period.
Your account
- Give true details. Agents and landlords must pass our checks before their homes go live.
- Keep your password safe. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using your account.
- We may put an account on hold, or remove listings, if we find false details, duplicate or fake listings, or requests for payment outside the app.
Payments, refunds and disputes
- Money is held until the tenant confirms move-in. We never release it automatically. If a tenant hasn't confirmed, we remind them and then call them.
- Before you confirm move-in, meet the landlord in person, see the house and make sure you are dealing with the real landlord. Confirming releases the money to the landlord.
- If a tenant reports a problem, the money stays held while our team decides. We may release it, refund part of it or refund all of it.
- A full refund includes the VeriNest fee.
